Display & Usage

The display of the Go Back component is not very configurable: only the Theme can be set. On the left side of the link text, a back arrow is automatically added and the entire component has a horizontal bottom line which can't be hidden.

The component is usually placed as the first component from the top in order for the portal visitor to easily maneuver backwards. The following templates contain an already added Go Back component:

News Content Page template

The Go Back component is pre-defined as second component from the top, with already set values for Theme and Button label.

Please also see the News Content Page help pages for more information.

Question & Answer Page template

The Go Back component is pre-defined as first component from the top in an empty state.

Please also see the Question & Answer Page help pages for more information.

Editorial hint:

Usage in Question & Answer Page

It is advisable to set a Button Path if used in this page because the Question & Answer pages show up in the search results of a search engine such as Google. This means that Google would be the last page visited which would lead the portal visitor back there, away from your webportal.

Component settings

The component is available in the Common Navigation component group in a Standard Content template and all its derieved templates such as the Snippet Content or the News Content Page. Additionally, it is also set as a pre-set component in the Question & Answer Page.
