Form Reference component

embed a form into a Standard Content Page

  • display of forms directly in main content
  • reference to an existing form
  • put into columns for display options

The Form Reference component provides the display of an existing form (a Form component created in a Modal Content Page) in a Standard Content Page.

on this page:

Introduction

With the Form Reference component, it is possible to display a previously created form in a Standard Content Page. The advantage of this set-up is that a portal visitor already sees a form when opening a page and clicking on a link is not necessary anymore. This is more likely to tempt the visitor to fill out a form.

The component itself has no settings besides the path to an existing form and its displayed height. This means that all form content must be created beforehand.

Please see the Leads & Forms feature help page and the Form component help page for further information about the set up of forms.

Glossary:

Display & Usage

The Form Reference component only references a previously created form. Therefore, all form related settings must be done beforehand in the Form component in a Modal Content Page.

Besides the Spacing (padding top/bottom), only the height of the form container can be fixed in order to influence the display.

Height

The following example has no set Height in order to achieve a variable height, depending on the actual height of each form step.

Example form in Form Reference

The following example has a set Height of 650 px in order for all form steps (of a Multisteps form) to be displayed with the same height. Click throught all steps in order to compare the heights of each steps with each other.

For more flexibility in the display of the form, it is possible to place the Form Reference component inside a Columns component.

Please note that not all Columns Layouts are supported because it would just not be possible to fit a form into a 20% Layout. Therefore, a reasonable use is assumed. If the form does not fit entirely into a column, it is possible that paddings are not correctly set and scrollbars appear. For best use simply experiment a little until a proper set-up is found.

Thank You Page

When creating the Thank You Page, make sure not to use the Confirmation component with a defined Close button on it, because there is nothing to close if displayed on a Standard Content Page.

Component settings
