Site Map component
create a Site Map for easy access and overview
- select a root page
- in/exclude pages with tags
- set the depth of the map

The Site Map component creates a tree map of the sub-pages of the defined Root Page. It is possible to set the depth and to include or exclude pages with certain tags.
Introduction
The Site Map component is meant as a navigation and overview of your pages. It takes the sub-pages of the provided root page path and creates a tree map. The depth (= level of sub-pages) of the map can also be defined and pages can be specifically in- or excluded via tags.
It is also very similar to the Left Navigation component.

The tree structure of the pages is easily visible in the Author. Only pages that are placed underneath the Root page will be used in the Site Map. Any other page that is on the same level as the Root page will not be part of the tree.

Front-end examples
Only Root Page defined | Depth = 5
Include Tags defined | Depth = 5
It is not sufficient to tag the parent page and expect all child pages to be included as well. Every page has to be tagged individually.
Furthermore, in order to include a child page that has the including tag, the parent of this child page has to be included as well.
The Depth will only be applied to the included pages.
Here is an example, that would not include Level 3 - 0 Children.
Exclude Tags defined | Depth = 5
For the excluding tags however, it is sufficient to exclude the parent page and all of its child pages will be exlduded too.
Include & Exclude Tags defined
If a page has both, an including AND an excluding tag, the exclude will overwrite the include. This means that the page will not be included.
Depth undefined
If the Depth field is left empty, only the direct children (= Level 1) of the Root Page will be part of the tree structure.
Depth = 2
If the Depth is set to 2, all pages up to Level 2 will be part of the tree structure.
