Introduction

Using the Footer Navigation Configuration page a very customizable Footer can be created for your website. If every page should have the same Footer, this setup is very convenient. Once you have created a Footer and add it to a top level node, all child pages of this top level node inherit the Footer automatically. 

The Footer can be configured to have a social media links, copyright information, different links, text size options and page sharing links.

Template characteristics

The Footer Navigation Configuration page template is only available as child page of the Configuration "folder" (Configuration page). 

Once The Footer Navigation Configuration page template is opened, the only thing on the site will be the blank Footer components and the Sidekick will have just 4 components (Image Links, Navigation Link Block, Service Box, Text Size) available, that are later used inside the Columns component (Footer). Double click on any component to edit it.

Components

The Footer consists of multiple components. The Service Links, the Breadcrumbs, the Columns (Footer), the Social, the Site Footer and an Unrestricted HTML component. The Columns component (Footer), also has 4 sub-components available, that can be placed inside the columns: Image Links, Navigation Link Block, Service Box and Text Size.

Adding the Footer to a page

After the Footer is finished, it is time to add it to a Standard Content page.

Double clicking on the blank Footer component will open a dialog window, where you have to provide the path to your Footer Navigation Configuration page.

After providing the path, the Footer is now added to this Standard Content page. You can reuse the Footer as often as you like.

Editorial hint:

Footer Inheritance

If you add a Footer to a top level node, all children pages of this top level node will inherit the Footer automatically. In case you want to use a different Footer for a child page, you just have to provide a path for the other Footer on the child page.
