CMS settings

To create a new Standard Content Page template navigate to where you want to create it in the content tree. The page will always be created as a child page of the currently selected page or node. Then click on the New Page button and select the Standard Content Page template, which should be on the very top of the list.

Fill in the Title and if you leave the Name empty, it will be automatically generated from the Title, by making it all lower case and replacing all spaces with hyphens. (e.g. Title="My Page" -> Name="my-page")

Afterwards the new page will appear in the content tree and you can double click on it to open it.

The empty Standard Content Page template will look like this, when you open it. The Header and Footer components will usually be empty, unless this page was created as a child of another page and the parent node has already a Header and Footer defined. Then the child will inherit those from the parent page. If you want to use different ones than the inherited Header and Footer, you can just change the paths to whatever Header or Footer you want.

To define a Header and Footer, you can double click on the components and provide the paths to the Header Navigation Configuration template and the Footer Navigation Configuration template that are available in the configuration folder.

The Sidekick will have a lot of different Menus available for the Standard Content Page template. Sometimes you have to resize the Sidekick to see the components inside the Menus.

  • Common Configuration
  • Common Navigation
  • Deprecated (should not be used)
  • Erste Group calculator
  • Erste Group contact
  • GEM AT
  • GEM BCR
  • GEM CSAS
  • GEM Common
  • GEM EAM
  • GEM Eliza
  • GEM Experimental
  • GEM Holding
  • GEM Multimedia
  • GEM SLSP

Once you have added a Header and Footer, you can drag and drop components from the Sidekick Menus into the field between them. Instead of dragging the components into the field you can also double click on the field to add them. To configure the components doubl click on them or right-click and select Edit. Now you can start creating your pages.
