add Columns to your pages to split them vertically
- multiple Columns layouts
- split your content into sections with Columns
- use Columns to place different components next to each other

The Columns component allows you to split the page vertically. This creates an opportunity to place content more freely on the page and brings more variety to your website.
Introduction
The Columns component allows for more variety for placing your other components, by splitting the page into vertical sections. Different Column layouts are available and the spacing can be adjusted as well. Using a Columns component you can place different components next to each other instead of underneath.

Theme
Since the Columns component doesn't have a common Theme element to add a background color to the component, you can use a Section With Headline component to add a different background color. Simply place the Columns component inside the Section With Headline and set the Theme element for the Section With Headline. If you don't want to add a headline, just leave it empty.
